Focke Wulf Fw-190 D-13 "Yellow 10"

This Focke Wulf Fw-190 D-13 "Yellow 10" is owned by Doug Champlin from Champlin Fighter Museum. It is the only surviving D-13 and is our first "restoration" project. The new wiring installation is required to match the original in color, routing, and general appearance. In addition, the techniques used must follow those in use in Germany when the aircraft was built (Feb 1945). Because of the manufacturing difficulties in late WWII, the original wiring was not well documented and was not installed to the same standards as earlier Fw-190s. Consequently, wiring this aircraft involved much research, including a trip to the Air Force Museum and major assistance from Tom Davidson and Dr. Mark Timken.
